12/11/2011 A very sad update from Battersea … Unfortunately Paris damaged a ligament in her leg beyond repair and after having x-rays the vet felt the only option was to put her to sleep. Paris was a long term resident and had been in a foster home since August and we are all devastated that she didn’t have the happy ending we wished for.

Sleep tight Paris :(

This lovely girl is Paris, a Staffordshire Bull Terrirer around 7-10 years old.   At the moment she is in the care of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home at Old Windsor but she’s finding kennel life difficult to cope with so needs to find her forever home as soon as possible.

Although mature in years, Paris is a lively and interactive dog.      She is a clever dog who, once settled, will enjoy lots more training.       New owners of Paris need to have plenty of experience of owning and training strong natured dogs.    She is very eager to please and loves to play fetch with you but she is particularly excited by toy play.    Whilst it is manageable, she will need firm control and consistent guidance from anyone who interacts with her.

Paris appears to be house trained and can be left for short periods.     She will need regular access to a secure private garden.     She needs to be the only dog in the home due to her love for toys and she is best suited to a home where there are no young children.    With patience and understanding from a knowledgeable owner, Paris will develop into a great pet.
