14/3/2011 Poor Zara has had to be put to sleep. She had spent a few weeks in a loving foster home, but became very ill. Sleep tight Zara :(

This is Zara and she’s a Staffordshire Bull Terrier girl of around eight years old. A few months ago Zara was found abandoned in a wooden shelter and she was in a terrible state. The poor girl was riddled with fleas and extremely underweight. Luckily for Zara she’s now being well cared for by Aldridge Animal Rescue, but she needs to find a permanent home where she can start a new life.

Zara is an adorable friendly girl who loves her cuddles and has lots of love to give her new owner. She isn’t happy in kennels and is desperate to feel like she belongs to a family.

Zara is extremely fit and is excellent on the lead. She’s also good off-lead and will retrieve a ball (although she doesn’t always want to give it up until she’s finished playing with it!)

Zara isn’t overly fond of other dogs. She will walk with them okay, but care needs to be taken to ensure they don’t rush into her. She’s good around children though and the rescue think she should be okay with with those aged 5 years and over.

This gorgeous girl has so much to give her new owner and will make a fabulous companion, so please don’t let her wait any longer in kennels.
