18/11/2023: Sadly, Rosie passed away. Lexi will be featured as a Special Other dog because she needs a loving owner even more now!

Rosie (Staffy girl) and Lexi (American Bulldog girl) and are a lovely gentle, easy-going and friendly pair of dogs. Rosie is 10 years old and Lexi is 5 years old. Rescue Remedies took them in as an emergency placement as sadly their young owner had passed away while waiting for a kidney transplant.

They are now at Rescue Remedies’ boarding kennels near Gatwick, on the Surrey/West Sussex border. It’s hoped these sweet girls will find the perfect home together very soon. They certainly deserve to!

Little Rosie gets a lot of reassurance from calm, solid Lexi. They’re a bit like Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet!

Rosie and Lexi have lived with children before. It’s thought older children would be fine for them again as they have such lovely natures.

They both walk nicely on their leads, ignoring all other dogs, cyclists people and horses etc. They were obviously well-loved and trained as their manners are impeccable. Rosie wants lots of human attention…

…whereas Lexi is content with to receive fuss from people she trusts but doesn’t seemed to need it like little Rosie does.

One volunteer dog walker said, “What a treat to meet these two beauties today. Their story broke our hearts, and hearing Rosie crying for attention in her kennel added to that in bucket loads.

Another said,The pair seem to have come from a loving home and appear a bit bewildered by their new circumstances, but they are the easiest dogs to take for a walk. They are both very sweet and gentle.”

“Rosie likes to be in the lead, but constantly checking back for Lexi. She also doesn’t love stopping. She definitely likes staying on the move. A very close pair, with a lot of love to give. I hope they find their new family very soon.”

And another, “Rosie is the sweetest little staffie and Lexi is a lovely gentle Ambul. They walk beautifully and are super friendly. Rosie cries like a baby and she just makes you want to cuddle her. Lexi mooches about in a calm manner. Such a lovely pair and I hope someone gives them a home very soon. They really tug on the heartstrings.”
