‘OLD DOG OF THE WEEK’ FEATURES NEW PHOTOS AND A FRESH WRITE-UP FOR AN OVERLOOKED OLDIE THAT HAS BEEN ON OUR WEBSITE FOR A WHILE BUT IS STILL WAITING FOR A NEW HOME.

Please help Sookie and Piper by sharing this page!
Sookie (blonde, 7 years) and Piper (black, 9 years) are a devoted pair of Chihuahua ladies looking for a quiet retirement home through Dogs Friends. They’re in a foster home in Weston-super-Mare in Somerset. They can be rehomed within a catchment area from Devon and South East Wales to Bristol and Bath.

This adorable twosome want to be the only pets at home and for any resident youngsters to be sensible teenagers. The really want a peaceful environment and nicely predictable routine.

Sookie and Piper are home-bodies who don’t need much exercise. They like to explore a secure field sometimes but they’re happy just pottering about the garden too. That said, Sookie is very springy and needs a 6 foot fence!

They find the big wide world a bit overwhelming sometimes and really don’t want to have to deal with meeting lots of other dogs or complete strangers. Any introverts reading this will completely understand!

Piper would happily spend all day on your lap or under a blanket. Sookie is the more nervous of the two and seeks reassurance from her people. She loves a sofa snuggle.

Piper loves food and food-based games. Being the more well-endowed in years, she has more strongly held views than Sookie. Some might even call her cheeky and stubborn! She’s also super affectionate and has a silly side.

These sweet, somewhat timid ladies are both spayed and in good health. They might need a bit of care taken with their diet, low protein, as their tummies can be sensitive.

If you’d like a pair of snuggly, home-loving best friends, please contact Dogs Friends as follows:
