Alex (Ruff Start Rescue, fostered Mid Wales)

Alex is a lovely, soft and fluffy boy who would love to have someone special to share his life with. He’s a little shy and nervous at first but soon comes round. Alex could be the only dog or live with other small, quiet dogs and he would be happy with children aged 15+. He’s rather gorgeous.

Marta (Romanian Rescue Appeal, fostered South Wales )

20.4.19 Update – please read.
Friendly and soppy, Marta is a large and lovely Crossbreed who is looking for a quiet, rural home. She’s good with children and could live with another large dog after introduction. She’s not very active and doesn’t require energetic walks, preferring wandering around with lots to sniff.

Home-comfort-loving Toby (Oldies Club, fostered Carmarthenshire)

27/11/18 – We have very sad news of little Toby. His health hasn’t been good of late and he sadly became so poorly that he has now had to be put to sleep. We would like to thank his foster carers for the wonderful care they have given Toby since he came into rescue. Sleep tight now, special little Toby.

Sam (RSPCA Bryn-y-Maen, fostered North Wales)

12/7/18 – We are delighted to hear the following news from RSPCA Bryn-y-Maen: “Sam being featured on the OC website generated some great interest in him and he has already selected his new home and moved in! All the team at Bryn y Maen and Sam’s wonderful fosterers are absolutely delighted for him. He is settling in very well indeed, taking everything in his stride and is already much loved by his new family who have made him so welcome. He can now celebrate his 18th birthday at home!” How fabulous is that?!

Louis (Animal Rescue Cymru, West Wales)

3/10/2017 After being seen on the Oldies Club website, it’s no surprise that lovely Louis has now gone off to his new home and has really settled in – he was sleeping on his large, comfy bed within minutes of arriving there!

Emily (RSPCA Bryn y Maen Animal Centre, fostered North Wales)

13/3/17 – We are very sad to hear that lovely Emily recently became very unwell and the rescue had to say goodbye to her. She had just been offered a new home too. The RSPCA said: “We are very grateful to her fosterers who have surrounded her with love, comfort and happiness for her last few weeks. Emily was safe and very happy and we cannot ask for more than that. Run free dear Emily.” :(

Alfie (Lizzie’s Barn Animal Sanctuary, South Wales)

20/6/10 – After the good news of Alfie finding a new home, we have some very sad news. Yesterday afternoon, Alfie was out pottering in the sunshine in the sanctuary garden when he suddenly collapsed and died. Fionna was with him and couldn’t do anything to save him. They suspect the poor little man had a massive heart attack.

The Sanctuary people are absolutely devastated, as are the wonderful family who were due to be homechecked for him today and hoping to bring him home next weekend.

Sleep well, little one.

Ben (Linton Boarding Kennels, Ceredigion, Wales)

18/10/2011 Sad news – poor Ben was found to have bone cancer and the rescue decided it was kinder to let him go. Ben never found his forever home, but had some happy months and enjoyed his regular walks with volunteer dog walkers. Run free Ben :(
