Sadly, sweet Patsy came into the care of Leicester Animal Aid as a stray and in very poor physical condition. She is now looking for a quiet and calm retirement home with patient owners.
Patsy is a 10 year old Shih-Tzu and has been through a lot for an older girl. She’s not quite ready for the world and to be cuddled yet, though she enjoys snuggling up in her cosy bed. She will need a slow introduction to grooming and opening her world very slowly.
Patsy is a sensitive girl, full of anxiety and unsure of new people and new places. She will need a very dedicated owner who can put the time into her needs and allow her to retreat to her safe haven. She requires a safe, hidey hole to retreat in.
Patsy is fine in the house and with access to the garden if she wishes to help her with her house training. She would be happy with garden-only exercise due to her low confidence. She will need an experienced, adult home and to be the only pet.
Patsy is a fond lover of chicken and has started to make friends with the team at her pace. She has had a dental whilst in rescue and is up-to-date with her vaccinations, flea and worm treatment.
