Herma (Safe Rescue, fostered Norfolk)

Herma is a delightful and gentle girl that originates from Romania, but who is now living safely in a foster home in Norwich, Norfolk through Safe Rescue.

She is a 7yr old medium sized, cross breed lady who Safe Rescue found in the shelter being attacked by other dogs. Because of this, and understandably, poor Herma can be nervous, and take a while to trust people, and so needs experienced new humans that are prepared to work with her and let her settle at her own speed into her forever home.

Once she knows someone, she will allow strokes and loves cuddles, but it is not sure if she will ever be a full on affectionate dog. However, once she knows love and kindness, this of course may well change.

Herma would like an adult home with at least one other confident and calm dog that can help her grow, and understand the world around her.

Herma loves her walks, but does not want to live in a city, so if you live in a rural or semi rural area, Herma could be your perfect new friend.

When Herma was getting spayed in preparation for her move to the UK it was discovered that she had both male and female organs which is unusual. She is indeed a very special girl and Safe Rescue felt that she would now be a lady going forward

N.B. Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. Further details can be found on Dana’s home page.
