Jasper is an adorable 9yr old male Lucher who came into the care of Dogs Friends when his owner was no longer able to care of him. He is currently in Wookey Hole, Somerset. and they would like his new home to be in the Somerset and surrounding area.
He’s looking for a home as an only dog, with no cats, and ideally with only adults around. Jasper originates from a remote area in Wales and has very probably never experienced town or suburban life with all of the noises and activity that entails. Therefore his ideal forever home would be a quiet and peaceful one where he can have some chilled and relaxing walks with not a lot going on. He would really love a little garden he could call his own too where he could sniff and explore to his heart’s content.
Jasper would most likely be fine with older sensible visiting children that understand his need for peace and quiet and do not overwhelm him and he is fine to be left for a few hours on his own.
Jasper is well behaved on the lead and whilst he can be a little selective with dogs he meets out and about, mainly those that overwhelm him, he is a sociable and friendly boy.
Jasper arrived with some skin issues, likely due to the poor care and diet he was receiving before coming to us. He does have some ongoing issues with lameness in his leg but this improves with careful exercise and rest. These issues can be discussed further if needed with Dogs Friends.
Jasper is such a handsome and gorgeous boy who only asks for a quiet and calm forever home where he can be showered with all of the love he deserves.
