10/11/11 Carr House Rescue have let us know that Zara recently passed away. She had a peaceful passing and although she didn’t find a new home she was loved and well cared for by everyone at Carr House. Sleep tight Zara :(

Jessy (Oldies Club, fostered Lincolnshire)
Jessy was a beautiful Collie X with a lovely nature. She was found to have advanced pancreatic cancer and we had to let her go. Her devoted foster carers are very much in our thoughts.

Larry the old lamb (Oldies Club Sponsor Dog)
5 August 2011: – Larry very sadly passed away this week :( His heart gave out on him. Our thoughts are with Larry’s family, who took such great care of him when he came to Oldies Club. Sleep tight lovely boy.

Kerry Westie (Oldies Club, fostered South Yorkshire)
Kerry, a 14 year old Westie, sadly had to be put to sleep despite the very best efforts of the vet and foster carers.

Owen (Animal Rescue Ceredigion, West Wales)
30/12/2011 – Poor Owen passed away whilst undergoing surgery. Sleep tight, little one.

Loyal Ruby (Oldies Club sponsor dog)
Ruby has very sadly been put to sleep. She had a massive fit a few days ago, followed by another, from which she didn’t recover :( Everyone at Oldies Club is very upset at such sad news. Thank you to Ruby’s wonderful foster family for taking such great care of her. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Rambo (Blue Cross, Scotland – fostered Ayrshire)
3/9/2011 – We just had the sad news that Rambo was pts. Here is what his carer said about him: Sadly Rambo died yesterday but he had a brilliant foster home and was a happy dog right up to the end. We’re going to miss his great character and how much he made us all laugh but I’m glad he got to spend his last months so contented. Sleep tight, sweet boy.

URGENT home appeal for a little terrier called Boxer
Oldies Club urgently need to find a new permanent foster home for Boxer, a 15 year old terrier who is in our care in Devon. Boxer is fit and healthy, but he can be grumpy and seems to be finding it difficult to settle after the sad death of his owner. Boxer needs a home with no other animals or children. -
Joey (Animal Care, Lancaster)
18/12/11 We’ve heard the very sad news that Joey’s seizures increased to the point that they were happening constantly and so the sad decision was made to let him go. Sleep tight Joey. :(

Jakey (Animals in Need, Northamptonshire)
4/1/14 – Sad news from Animals in Need: I’m sorry to inform you, sadly Jakey passed away about 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately he developed a tumor on his heart and we had to have him put to sleep. Thankfully he spent his last months living in our on site mobile home with a member of staff so at least had some home comforts and companionship before he left us. Run free, Jakey.
