11/01/10  Sadly poor Whisky was put to sleep yesterday as his kidney condition got worse.

This handsome chap is Whisky, a collie cross around 10 years old.  He’s safe in the care of Manchester Dogs’ Home at the moment but they would love to find him a special forever home as soon as possible.

Whisky is a true gentleman.  He’s very happy, gentle boy and is fairly active for his years.    Sadly, his health is failing and he has lost the sight in one eye.     He also has some kidney problems.    Whisky is a very sociable dog and gets on well with the other dogs at the centre.  He loves treats and being pampered and could really do with a good grooming!

Whisky is a very popular boy.   He enjoys nothing more than going for gentle walks in the park and there are many volunteers keen to take him out.

Whilst the staff at Mancherster Dogs’ Home would like to find a permanent home for Whisky, if you’d prefer to foster him for a while that could also be arranged.  If you’d like to discuss Whisky further, please contact Manchester Dogs’ Home as follows, quoting Whisky’s Ledger No: 104938

Telephone: 0871 918 1212

Please mention that you saw Whisky on the Oldies Club website.
