24/7/12 Very sad news about Connie. Her health declined dramatically and she had to be put to sleep. Sleep tight lovely Connie.

—————–

Isn’t she so sweet? This is Connie, a 12 year old crossbreed girl who was rescued by NAWT in Berkshire after she was picked up as a stray.

Little Connie was a bit nervous when she first arrived in rescue, but with a few treats and little time, she started to make new friends and come out of her shell. She is given as many treats as she wants because she is underweight and she is taking full advantage of this!

Connie likes human company but would prefer a quiet home as she still gets a little bit scared from time to time. Therefore, she should not be rehomed with children.

However, she may be able to live with another dog provided that they get along when they meet at the centre. Connie doesn’t take much notice of the cats around the centre, so she may be able to live with one of them as well.

Whoever adopts Connie will need to work with her on her housetraining, but she is already doing much better and with gentle encouragement, she should soon get the hang of it.

Connie walks nicely on the lead and enjoys going for walks, but she needs to build up her muscle strength, so she doesn’t need long walks. She is currently on medication for an existing condition. Staff at NAWT will let you know more when you enquire about her.

All Connie needs is a quiet, warm and comfortable place to call home for the rest of her days, along with a lot of love and TLC. It’s not much to ask and she has plenty of love to give in return.
