27/6/13 – Sad news from Rescue Remedies: ‘So sorry to have to tell you that Asha went to Rainbow Bridge today. Sadly he had a mass on his upper front leg and he was struggling to walk. The vet agreed it was better to let him slip away without pain. Thankfully he had 10 months before he died in a wonderful foster home.’

Gorgeous Asha has been described as extra special at Rescue Remedies where he is hoping to find a new forever home to live out his twilight years. He is a 11-12 year old English Bulldog cross who is just a delight to be around.

Asha has had a bit of chaotic background, living in several homes during his life. He really needs a stable family environment and will make a loving addition to the family. He loves children of all ages and has such a wonderful demeanor, full of calm energy in the home and spritely and fun-loving outside of it. He is full of life and fun and there is always a twinkle in his kind, soulful eyes.

Asha loves people but doesn’t jump up when he meets them. He walks wonderfully on the lead and meets other dogs with a lovely, friendly manner. He prefers being walked on the lead and can get a little flustered meeting new dogs while off the lead. He is so easy to walk, not old or doddery at all. He loves to sunbathe and travels well in the car.

Below is a video of Asha enjoying a walk in the countryside.

Asha is an exceptional boy with such a lovely, gentle vibe about him. He is stunningly handsome with his white paws and bib and enjoys excellent health for an older dog. Although he needs a retirement home, he is certainly not ready to retire just yet! He is a true diamond of a dog!

Asha is neutered, chipped and vaccinated. He is currently staying in boarding kennels near Gatwick in Surrey. Asha can be left for a reasonable time during the day, as long as he gets his walks and is used to being kennelled over the holidays. He is going to make someone a very loyal and loving friend.

Asha would prefer to be your only dog.
