Casper

21/02/2016 – Casper found his home 6 weeks ago but he started having fits last week. He had a fit last night and was taken to the vet. While he was sedated, they found a brain tumour and his ownerss had to make the difficult decision to let him go. At least he got to live out his last few days in a warm, loving home.

Cuddly Casper found himself in the pound, where life is not so good, but the Senior Staffy Club came to his rescue, thank goodness! Casper is in a nice, warm kennel now with a soft bed and lots of toys, and he gets taken for walks every day.

Casper is 10 years old and is a very friendly Staffordsire Bull Terrier boy. He is little and cute and a very happy chap. Casper has been to the vets twice now, where they stuck needles in him and looked at him all over, but he just kept wagging his tail at the vet lady. Casper wagged his tail at the other dogs there too!

Casper’s carers think he would be okay with other dogs, but say they need to do more testing, and of course he would like to meet any other dogs a couple of times first to make sure they could be friends. Casper been introduced to some cats. He was fine until they moved, but he gets too excited and wants to chase them so it’s probably best that he does not live with them. Casper is very good with children and would quite like to live with some (preferably 6+ years) as he has fun with them!

The lovely people who take Casper for walks say he is a gorgeous boy who walks nicely on his lead, always very happy and they love to cuddle him. Casper does understand basic commands, although sometimes he likes to pretend he doesn’t!

Casper is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is currently in the rescue’s Stafford kennels, but can be re-homed anywhere in the UK, pending a successful home visit. However, any potential adopter should be willing to travel to meet Casper where he is now.

Casper is only little so needs only a small space on your sofa … please come and meet him and see for yourself how cute and cuddly he is.
