25/5/18 – Benson has sadly passed away. He spent his last few months in a loving foster home and was very happy there.

Soppy old Benson is a Bulldog of over 8 years old, who’s making friends everywhere he turns at Dogs Trust Merseyside. His face might not show it but his body language says he’s really happy to meet and be fussed by everyone!

Benson is a little wobbly on his legs and can’t play as much as he’d like to. He still enjoys a potter about and he may make a great companion for someone who isn’t very mobile themselves.

He gets along with other quiet dogs, though can get a little fruity with the ladies if he thinks he’s in with a chance! He can live with children aged 12 and over who will understand that he doesn’t want to be walked too far or get tired out.

Dogs Trust Merseyside say, “Benson is the type of boy who makes us all go a bit gooey at Merseyside! He’s a senior Bulldog who is outrageously affectionate and an instant best friend. He absolutely adores his grub and would be happy to spend the rest of his life sprawled on a duvet being fed gourmet meals. He can be a bit of a bin raider, so best to make sure it’s all out of sight and smell.”

So if you like lots of love, quite a lot of sitting and some pottering about, Benson is the best friend for you! To find out more about him please contact Dogs Trust Merseyside as follows:
