Ozzie is a lovely, 8 year old, black and white Collie/Dalmatian Cross. He was adopted from Freshfields Animal Rescue 5 years ago, but he has sadly been returned and is looking for a new, calm and peaceful home.
Ozzie has Collie in him and as every collie lover knows, they can display anxious behaviour. Poor Ozzie was quite anxious in his home as he lived on a busy road with lots of pedestrians passing. One day recently, this build up of anxiety led to Ozzie becoming stressed, he stole a chocolate wrapper and, in the owner’s panic to take it off him, Ozzie nipped his hand. His owners were very upset to part with him, but believe that he needs to go to a quieter area, without much passing people traffic as he will be calmer and happier.
The Rescue has found Ozzie to be the perfect gentleman. He is such a sweet natured boy. Ozzie (like many Collies) is very focused on his toys. He loves to play. Although it’s good to see him enjoying himself, a new home should not to encourage ball throwing as it would be nice to see Ozzie a little less toy obsessed.
Ozzie is very affectionate; he loves attention and he loves walks. He needs a quieter, calm home with no children or children planned for the future. He will need an active owner. He is an adorable boy who will make a wonderful friend.
Ozzie is good with some dogs but will bark at others, particularly terrier types. He would be best suited to being the only pet and he can be left for a few hours during the day.
Ozzie is neutered and vaccinated.
