2/10/19 – Ozzie has found a home!

Ozzie is a lovely 10 year old Collie x Dalmatian. He is at Freshfields Animal Rescue looking for a calm and peaceful home.

Poor Ozzie was quite anxious in his previous home as he lived on a busy road with lots of pedestrians passing. One day, this build-up of anxiety led to Ozzie becoming stressed, he stole a chocolate wrapper and, in the owner’s panic to take it off him, Ozzie nipped his hand. His owners were upset to part with Ozzie, but believe that he needs to be in a quieter area, with fewer people passing by so that he will be calmer and happier.

The Rescue has found Ozzie to be the perfect gentleman. He is such a sweet-natured boy. Ozzie (like many Collies) is very focused on his toys. He loves to play. Although it’s good to see him enjoying himself, it is best to not encourage ball fetching as it would be nice to see Ozzie a little less toy obsessed.

Ozzie is very affectionate; he loves attention and he loves walks. He needs a quiet, calm home with no children or children planned for the future. He needs an active owner but he can be left for a few hours each day. He is an adorable boy who will make a wonderful friend.

Ozzie is good with some dogs but will bark at others, particularly terrier types. He would be best suited to being the only pet.

Ozzie is neutered and vaccinated.
