Lovely, little Bailey is a star and is very special because he has a chronic lung condition. The staff at RSPCA Westmorland Branch all fell in love with him from the moment he arrived and are hoping someone equally special will offer him a loving home and lots of TLC.

Bailey is a brown/tan/white Jack Russell Terrier who is approximately 10 years old. He’s a quiet boy who is full of love. He is absolutely no trouble at all; he just loves a fuss, a cuddle and playing with his toys.

Bailey knows lots of commands and can be left for short periods. He is being kept cosy with a snuggly coat and bed. He would prefer a quiet, adult home and could possibly live with another dog but is not used to cats.

Bailey’s lung condition is currently being managed with the use of an inhaler administered via a delivery device (i.e., a mask). He already has the mask which will, of course, be passed on to whoever adopts him along with training on how to use it. Everything has been done to help with his lung condition and he has improved a lot.

At the moment, Bailey is doing brilliantly and has good quality of life; however, the condition won’t get better long-term and will likely eventually get worse. The cost of Bailey’s medication isn’t expensive and will be provided if necessary by the RSPCA’s Elderly Animal Rehoming Scheme (EARS) which helps with vets’ fees.
