25/1/20 – Charles has found a home

Poor Charles arrived in the U.K. completely shut-down. He is being lovingly cared for in his foster home in Hampshire under the care of Pawprints to Freedom and needs someone special to give him lots of patience and understanding, reassuring him that he is loved so he can enjoy the quiet life he’s so deserving of.

Charles is a medium-sized male who was born on 4.8.08 and is now 11 years old. He is a gentle, kind soul who loves the simple things in life. He is slowly settling into his new life and enjoying now living in a cosy home. He is so much better than he was, bless him. He is very good with the family baby and so shows he has a good heart.

Charles’s main loves in life are his food and his bed and who can blame him? He’s a typical golden oldie gentleman. He likes other dogs and would benefit from a fellow doggie friend. He feels comfort in knowing his resident friend is home, becoming anxious when his friend goes for a walk. Unfortunately, Charles doesn’t feel confident enough in going for a walk himself yet so will need further time and reassurance to work on this.

Charles enjoys a stroke but only when on his bed and he is still nervous, not sure whether to trust people or not but, with time, he will no doubt relax and improve. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

If frightened or not let outside soon enough, Charles can sometimes have an accident indoors but, in time as his confidence grows, this should improve. Wouldn’t it be lovely if Charles found his forever home and continue to come out of his shell, feeling relaxed and safe.
