8/11/2020 – We are delighted to hear that pretty Bowie has found her new home!
Cuddly girl Bowie is a 12 year old Crossbreed lady who’s been in foster care through Mayhew Animal Home in North West London for a few months now, waiting for her forever home.
Bowie is a fun girl to have around. She doesn’t act her age most of the time and loves to play fetch.
She can entertain herself for quite a while with her toys.
Bowie could do with about one hour in total of run around time every day in a secure field or park to burn off her excess energy. She’s OK with most other dogs but can be grumpy if they seem to need bossing around. She’s a very bright girl and always responsive to her human, so she’s easy to distract. You can tell from her photos that she has a cheerful, sunny nature!
Bowie loves human company and wants to have someone around most of the time. She can be left for a couple of hours, with plenty of toys, every now and then. As with many rescue dogs, she needs experienced owners who will allow her time to settle in.
Bowie does like a fuss and despite being a fabulously sturdy girl, she will try to fit on your lap! She can be quite vocal, just in a chatty way but her foster carer has found she can be easily diverted with a toy or a cuddle.
She’s not all go, all the time and does like to settle down on the sofa once she’s back home from a walk. Being a snuggly girl, she appreciates life’s comforts.
Bowie wants to be the only pet at home and she needs a garden, naturally. She’s a wonderful companion who will entertain you with her love of life and everything in it, especially tennis balls!
