2/10/22 – Bruce has found a home

Gorgeous Bruce is an 11-year-old Staffy boy who is with RSPCA Crewe, Nantwich and District Branch, in Nantwich. They prefer to rehome within the Cheshire area but are willing to consider homes further afield if they are good fit.

Lovely Bruce is very friendly and affectionate – he loves people! He is partially deaf so needs you to use visual communication and be extra vigilant on walks to keep him safe. Bruce would fit perfectly into a quiet, adult-only home as your only pet. He needs an enclosed garden for safe play and exercise, and you will also need quiet places to go for walks, where he won’t often come into contact with other dogs.

Bruce is dog reactive, but the rescue has been working on this using distract and reward techniques and, if calmly handled, Bruce is easily manageable. Lead-walking in quieter areas, away from popular dog routes, helps him immensely. He loves going out for walks and walks fairly well on the lead without too much pulling, and he will wait with his walker when needed. He travels well in the car but this has only been tested on short journeys. He is very good in the house, is house-trained, and is OK to be left alone for short periods.

Could you offer Bruce a quiet, adult-only home as your only pet?
