Holly (RSPCA West Hatch, Somerset)

Cute little Holly is a 7 year old, female, white and black Terrier who is looking for her forever home with the help of RSPCA West Hatch in Taunton, Somerset. She has a fun, very loving nature and would be a wonderful companion in the home.

Holly is a very sweet and active girl. She loves being with people and, after having a good walk, enjoys nothing better than sitting next to you on the sofa, having a snooze and a cuddle. Holly also really enjoys playing with toys, especially if they squeak! Holly is house-trained and enjoys travelling in the car. She has been left in her previous home for about an hour at a time with no problems.

Holly is looking for a calm home without children or other animals, as this is when she is most relaxed. It is important that Holly has a secure garden to potter about in, as she cannot be let off-lead when out on walks. She is not at all comfortable being near other dogs and would not cope with being walked in areas where she would meet dogs off-lead, or in close proximity. She is therefore looking for a more rural environment with people who will be willing to walk her in quiet areas where there is enough space to keep a distance.

Holly has progressed really well with her training and can now focus on her handler when she sees other dogs from a distance. She is used to wearing a muzzle when out and about and accepts this well. Holly will need her training to be kept up in her new home and the RSPCA’s behaviour advisor is very happy to chat to anyone interested and provide support.

Holly has a good range of basic obedience training and is keen to learn more. She is neutered and had a mammary mass successfully removed before coming to the Centre.
