It’s such a shame that poor Lily has been let down by two homes now. Sadly, she came back into the care of Heathlands Animal Sanctuary in Hertfordshire a few weeks ago, overweight and with a suspected torn cruciate ligament.

Lily is a beautiful, neutered, 8 year old Pomeranian Cross and she’s a friendly, playful and affectionate girl who just needs people to be a bit understanding. She can be a little touch-sensitive and doesn’t like to be grabbed by the collar. These worries came back with her from her first home but have been improved on since.

Lily would like an adult home with people committed to her health, happiness and general wellbeing, for the rest of her life. She is such a lovely girl, with real character and her foster family think she’s great. Lily is fine with visiting children and would prefer to be an only dog. She generally gets on with other dogs, but she can be a little dog-reactive occasionally. Lily does not want to live with cats.

Lily has been started on a diet and she has leg support and pain relief. She may end up needing surgery, but her weight needs to be reduced first. The Rescue will financially support her new home with the vet treatment for this condition if needed.
