7/12/23 – Cyrus has found a home!

Cyrus is a 7-year-old Dogue De Bordeaux cross who is in the care of Dogs Friends, in a foster home in Taunton, Somerset. Dogs Friends’ catchment area is Somerset and the surrounding areas, including Bristol and Bath.

Cyrus arrived in rescue after a year-long stay at a boarding kennel, where he was booked in when his owner was unable to care for him. Now in his foster home, Cyrus has settled well.

He is a loyal, friendly and happy boy who thinks he’s a little lap dog! Cyrus is highly excitable and can be boisterous, and he also loves a good walk, so he would benefit from an adult-only active home. As Cyrus is big and strong, his new people will need to be physically capable and able to manage him when he becomes excited.

Cyrus is best suited to a home as a solo pooch – he walks okay with other dogs, and can greet them well on walks, but the rescue’s trainer feels that due to his high arousal levels and underdeveloped social skills, he may be a little too full-on in the home for another dog. He’s not used to children. Cyrus is also reactive to cats and livestock – he just can’t resist!

Cyrus is neutered and has no health issues.
