31/5/23 – Lovely little Tina has gone off to her new home!
—————–

Titian-haired Tina is a 10-year-old smallish-but-quite-leggy, mixed breed girl who weighs 7kg. Tina is in an Oldies Club foster home in Witham on the Hill, Lincolnshire. Her original name was Carina, but she’s very happy to be called Tina.

Settled slowly: Sweet Tina is a shy little girl who needs to be left to settle on her own, in her own time. She has taken a few weeks to feel properly at home in foster care.

Fine to be left: Tina doesn’t mind being left for a few hours while you go shopping etc., but she wouldn’t want to live with people who go out to work.

Needs to be an only dog: Tina doesn’t like other dogs and isn’t happy being around the ones in her foster home. She therefore needs a home where she is the only dog so that she can be your devoted companion and have a nice quiet life with you.

Needs a home without cats: We were told that Tina does not like cats at all.

Adult home only: Because Tina can nip if she gets very stressed, she needs an adult home where there will be no visiting children.

Quiet, on-lead walks: Tina is a nervous girl who can find walks quite scary. She’d like to be walked in quiet, relaxing places. She needs to stay on the lead as she doesn’t have recall. She is currently going out for a 30-minute walk twice a day.

Very good in the car: Tina is a happy traveller so will enjoy car journeys with her new people.

Tina’s favourite thing to do: Pretty Tina enjoys wandering around the garden, taking in the sights and smells.

Tina’s dislikes: Being a frightened little flower, Tina can be scared of people (in particular, vets!), other dogs, and loud noises.

Tina’s ideal home: Tina would like a quiet home with calm people who will allow her to settle in her own time. She needs to be your only pet, in a home with someone around for most of the day. She will thrive on your undivided attention. Her new home will need to have a secure garden for her to enjoy. Tina is happy to sleep in her own bed.

Health notes: Tina is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea-treated. She is a healthy girl who eats well and isn’t taking any medication.

More about Tina:This little darling is very clean in the house, but she is extremely nervous and will wee herself when very stressed. She is loving once trusts you, and very affectionate. Tina has an exceptionally loud, high-pitched bark. When very frightened she will lightly nip, for example when having her claws cut, but she does not bite or draw blood; it’s just a nervous reaction. She simply needs love, attention and a quiet home.

If you would love to offer a home to an oldie but your circumstances aren’t suitable, perhaps you would be kind enough to sponsor one of the special oldies we are caring for that, due to health problems, are unlikely to be offered a permanent home.
