Characterful Little Ralf is an 11-year-old Terrier who is with Rehoming Animal Telephone Service (RATS), in kennels in Buntingford, Hertfordshire. Note that viewing there is strictly by prior arrangement.

Ralf finds himself in rescue as his owner had to move into accommodation that does not permit dogs. Ralf had lived with his owner since he was a puppy, so he must be feeling very confused. RATS are seeking either a foster home or a forever home for Ralf.

Ralf is an interesting little character; in fact he is a bit of a grumpy old man! He absolutely loves the company of people and he adores going out for walks, but everything has to be on his terms. He likes a back scratch and will sit on his hind legs for a treat, but he is not keen on being touched on the head and he can be very bad tempered if he is woken up. He has bitten on occasion, when things haven’t been exactly to his liking!

RATS are looking for a fosterer or adopter for Ralf who will just let him be, at least initially. This will mean just leaving him alone and not trying to stroke him until he has settled in and got used to his new home and new owner.

He needs to be your only pet in a home without children. He just needs a comfy bed in a warm house and a little walk every day. He doesn’t need lots of cuddles, just lots of company and love.

Could you offer Ralf a quiet home?
