Pretty Pippa is a 12 year old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel who is looking for a peaceful retirement with someone who can meet her needs now, where she can enjoy daily walks and have a quiet routine. Sadly, her situation has changed in a busy household and her owner is struggling to provide her with the routine she needs. Pippa is currently living with her owner in Atherton, Manchester.

Pippa enjoys walking round the block for around 30 minutes, eating and sleeping. She is also good in the car. She’s slowed down a little now, so she doesn’t play much anymore. Her stomach has become sensitive with age and it’s important not to let her over-eat and to stick to her own food because she would eat anything if she got opportunity.

Pippa is used to living with children and has grown up with them from the age of 7 to 19. She also lived with the owner’s sister for 12 months with 11 and 12 year olds, but she would prefer calmer and preferably older children now where she can have a settled, quiet life and she can relax and be happy.
Pippa could live with another dog though she would need a calmer, preferably also older, dog. Also, she has lived with cats her entire life, but equally would also be happy on her own. She can be left alone for a few hours.

Pippa is neutered and does not have good hearing. She has a heart murmur and mild heart failure but isn’t on medication. Her teeth are not good, but it was decided not to risk anaesthetic due to her age to have them cleaned/removed. They don’t affect her and she doesn’t struggle eating or chewing things. She had to have her right eye removed a couple of years ago due to an injury which caused swelling. She has needs to go to the groomer around every 3 months.
Pippa is being rehomed privately by her owner, who has confirmed she will take Pippa back if her new home doesn’t work out for any reason. Prospective adopters will be carefully home-checked.
