Nina is a beautiful 11-year-old Collie Cross — probably mixed with Kelpie — who has been reliquinshed to Wellingborough Dog Welfare in Northamptonshire.

Nina had been in the same family since she was young, but her original owner sadly died and so the lady’s sister took her in. Sadly she has now died too and unfortunately her husband is allergic to Nina. Lovely Nina must wonder what on earth has happened to her owner and why she now finds herself in kennels.

Nina needs a home without children, and with no visiting children, where she will be your only pet. Her new home will have a calm and relaxed atmosphere and must have a secure garden.

You wouldn’t think that Nina is twelve at all. She loves to go out for walks and have a good sniff. In fact she can be quite stubborn about this — if Nina wants to sniff, she is going to sniff! She can be a little bit strong on the lead when she wants to be. But she loves treats, so this will help with further training.

Nina isn’t good with dogs — she gives them her very best intense collie stare — nor with children, but she loves to have a cuddle and if you stop fussing her she will nudge your hand for more. She needs a lovely quiet home where she can relax for the rest of her days rather than being stuck in a kennel. She doesn’t like vets and needs to be muzzled there. She is neutered.

Nina will love having a nice secure garden to play in. She can be a bit barky at times but soon settles down.

Could you offer this collie-style beauty the quiet, adult-only, pet-free home she needs?
