This beautiful lady is called Mitzi and she’s a stunning Akita Crossbreed. Sadly, she was found straying and no-one came forward to claim her, which is heartbreaking. She now deserves to find a loving family to cherish her in her senior years. Meantime, she is being cared for by Friends of Akitas and is currently based in Nottinghamshire.
Mitzi is approximately 10 years old and adores her walks; she has energy that makes her seem much younger than her age. Her excitement on walks means she can pull on the lead, but with regular exercise and lead training, this will improve. She does need lots of exercise.
Mitzi is incredibly sweet and loves being around people. She clearly has been loved before and her manners are beautiful. She knows basic commands and takes treats gently. Mitzi is house-trained also.
As there is no history for Mitzi, it’s recommended that she live in a home where any children are 14 years and older. She has been tested with another male Akita at the kennels and was fine, so she could potentially live with a male companion pending successful introductions. She has not been tested with cats.
