Beautiful Suki is a 10-year-old Labrador X Akita. She’s being rehomed by A Dog’s Life Rescue and is currently still with her elderly owner in Tameside, Greater Manchester. Her situation is urgent as her owner’s poor health means she is not getting proper exercise and you can see from her photos that she’s feeling glum.

Added to this, is the uncertainty about what will happen to Suki if her owner’s health declines further. Will she have to go into kennels until someone adopts her? We hope not.
Suki is a very gentle lady. She loves a fuss from her people and she loves her walks, or rather, her steady and forensic examination of all possible smells. She is friendly with humans but can be assertive towards other dogs if they get too close to her. This could be partly because she has built up tensions from lack of proper walkies recently. Or, it could just be that other dogs are annoying and should jolly well keep a respectful distance, thank you very much!
Suki hasn’t lived with children before but she should be OK with sensible teenagers. A mature dog’s nap times being sacred, of course.

She has previously lived with a cat but it’s thought she’d be better as the only pet at home now she’s set in her ways, bless her.
It is hoped that a comfy home and loving people can be found for Suki within a reasonable travelling distance of Greater Manchester – and soon – so she doesn’t have to go into draughty, noisy kennels at her time of life.
