19/04/2026: Reggies has been adopted! Hooray!
This beautiful boy is Reggie the English Bulldog. He’s around 8-years-old and was very sad when his owner passed away but was taken in by Mayhew Animal Home in London.
Reggie can either be an only dog or he could live with another friendly dog after happy introductions at the Mayhew. He could live with secondary school age children, as long as they give him his space when he needs to snooze and don’t encourage him to overdo himself when out and about.
Reggie is a very affectionate boy and loves a snuggle and a fuss. He sometimes needs reassurance when he’s out in the big wide world. He enjoys his walks and has 2 half hour walks a day but nice, slow pottering walks please. He likes meeting doggy friends and sniffing all the lovely smells.
Given his breed, he needs owners who can keep on top of certain things to maintain his health. His weight is one aspect and his skin folds and ears need to be cleaned regularly. He’s on medication for ear canal inflammation and his adopters must be willing to take him to the vet if he seems off kilter at all.
Reggie takes these physical niggles in his dumpy stride and they don’t stop him having fun and loving love, and treats!
Reggie has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated and is up-to-date with flea & worming treatment. He has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed. Every dog adopted from the Rescue will go home with 4 weeks’ free pet insurance.
