Bertie or “Barney Bertie”, as he has affectionately been christened, is a cute and fluffy Maltese x Shih Tzu aged 7yrs old looking for his forever home through All Animals Rescue and Rehome who have him waiting in his foster home in Thurrock in Essex.
Bertie arrived in rescue when sadly his owner was no longer able to care for him. Described as “absolutely stunning both inside and out” he has such a cheeky little face and not a bad bone in his body !
Ideally, Bertie would love to share his forever home with a doggie chum(s) of the same size to him or smaller. If he was to be the only dog, this would be considered, but his humans would need to be around for much of the time to keep him company.
He walks beautifully on the lead and is house trained. He spends most of the day dozing on the sofa however he loves his food and walks! Bertie is a gentle little soul, not destructive at all and is quite content being left for short periods.
Bertie adores his toys, especially the squeaky ones ! He goes mad for them and would play all day long given the chance ! Affectionate and loving cuddles, Bertie really does sound like a dream !
Easygoing and sweet natured, he would make a wonderful addition to any home. He could suit an older person/couple that are around a lot of the time to give him bucket loads of love and snuggles and throw his ball for him !
Bertie has a long coat that will need regular grooming, the adopters must be committed to this. He can be a bit grumpy with his feet and face being groomed, so will need an experienced and understanding groomer who knows how to do this without causing him distress. Bertie travels well but can get vocal when he is excited.
Bertie is castrated and chipped. He is flea and wormed.
