22/11/17 – Adorable old married couple, Bonnie and Clyde, have found their new home!
————————-

This lovely, old married couple are looking for a new home with the help of Ark Animal Rescue in Lincolnshire. They have been in their recent home for about 6 years, but their owners’ marriage has now failed and their mum can’t cope with them and dad is in pet-free accommodation.

Bonnie

Bonnie is a female Rottweiler and Clyde is a a male Staffordshire Bull Terrier. They are both approximately 7 years old, and Bonnie is a large, black and tan girl while Clyde is medium-sized and with a brindle coat.

Clyde

Bonnie hasn’t been spayed and her last season was in August this year, but Clyde has been neutered and both of their vaccinations are up-to-date. They are fit and well and eat complete dry food but can have meat as well.

Bonnie again

Bonnie and Clyde are very people-friendly dogs, have lived with children from babies upwards and been good with all ages. They have not lived with cats and will chase them and are not keen on other dogs, especially if they bark at them. They don’t like fireworks, the postman and the binmen and Bonnie will pull away if you touch her feet.

Clyde again

The Ark has assessed them as follows:
Neither dog has shown any aggression and are good around food and happy to be fed in the same room with space between them. They’re good at the vets, are house-trained and can safely be left for 4-5 hours. They had their own beds but also slept on their owners’ bed. They travel fine in the car on the back seat but Clyde is better in a cage. They both wear a harness for walks; Bonnie is good but Clyde pulls all the time. They’re good off the lead provided there are no other dogs around and Clyde has very good recall while Bonnie isn’t too good but can be caught. They’re not interested in toys and are inseparable so are being rehomed together.

Bonnie and Clyde are very happy in each other’s company and need a home without any other pets but are fine to live with children. The main thing is that they stay together please.
