Jess sadly had to be put to sleep for health reasons.

With such an appealing face, who could resist Jess? She’s a black, short-haired crossbreed, approximately 10 – 12 years old. Sadly, Jess is yet another stray and has been in Carr House Rescue Centre in Hull, East Yorshire for nearly a year, continually overlooked because of her age.

Jess is a gorgeous, friendly older girl who loves her food and walks. She just loves being with people, is good generally with other dogs and has lived with cats before, but she can be aggressive when food is around. Because of this, it’s felt that it would be best not to rehome her with children or other dogs.

Jess adores a good fuss and having her tummy rubbed. She walks well on the lead and knows her basic commands. She’s housetrained and quiet when left alone and also travels well.

Jess’s general condition is good. She has slightly misty eyes, is vaccinated and microchipped.

At her age, she deserves to find a cosy retirement home and not be living in kennels. She’s much too lovely!
