16/5/13 – We just had this sad news about Ben: ‘I’m afraid I have sad news about Ben. He has been on two courses of antibiotics for an infection, but they have not worked ,so the vet has carried out further tests and found that he has bone cancer, so has decided that the kindest thing to do is to put Ben to sleep.’

Update 16/4/13 – Poor Ben is not doing well in kennels and has become so stressed that he is making himself ill. Can you please help this lovely lad?

Gorgeous Ben is an 8 year old German Shepherd boy who sadly finds himself in rescue due to a change in his owner’s circumstances. This lovely boy is being cared for at Stray Dogs Sanctuary until he finds a retirement home where he can spend the rest of his days.

Ben had lived in the same home for many years and it is so sad that a dog his age has ended up in rescue. He has the most beautiful nature and will make someone the most loving and loyal of companions.

Ben gets along with other dogs and lived with a Llasa Apso in his previous home with no problems at all. Although he has not lived with children before, he is used to them and gets along well with the ones he meets. Ben is a good traveller and can be left for a reasonable amount of time.

This lovely boy would love to find a new home as soon as possible, as kennels are no place for a dog his age. Can you help Ben?
