12/10/13 – Just had this sad news about Glen: ‘Very sadly Glen died last week bless him. Its such a terrible shame he didn’t find a home he was such a lovely dog, but at least he was happy in kennels and one of the volunteers was very attached to him and spoilt him as much as possible.’

Meet Glen, a very handsome (and strong!) Greyhound boy. He is 9 years old and looking for a new home with the help of Barley Kennels in Essex.

Because Glenn is a big boy who is strong on the lead and reactive to other breeds of dog, the rescue is looking for a Greyhound-experienced home for him. Although he can be a handful while out on his walks, once he is back in the kennel, he morphs into the most chilled out, relaxed boy you can wish to meet!

Glen settles very easily and would love a home where he can snooze the day away! He is loving, friendly and really quite a gentle soul with people and an absolute gentleman when it comes to Greyhound bitches and could be homed either on his own or with a Greyhound girl of any temperament. He has been kenneled with a fair few ‘pushy’ girls and never reacts to them.

Glen could live with older/teenage children but is too big and strong to be homed with smaller children. He cannot live with cats or with any other small animals. He prefers a Greyhound-only home environment and should not be homed with other breeds of dogs.

If you love Greyhounds, Glen could be the dog for you. Please contact Barley Kennels as follows to find out more about him:
