3/6/13 We’ve heard the sad news that Jill passed away in her foster home at the weekend. Our thoughts are with her foster family.

This beautiful lady is Jill and she is a 14 year old smooth coated Collie girl. She had been the faithful companion to an older gentleman for many years, but sadly her owner has now died. Jill is now in the care of a temporary foster home for Chilterns Dog Rescue Society but she urgently needs to find a permanent home where she will be loved and cared for.

Jill is a quiet, clean and well mannered lady who needs a calm, quiet and structured environment where she can get regular exercise. She would prefer a home without young children or other animals as this is what she is used to. She is good about meeting other dogs while out on her walks.

Jill’s fosterers say ‘ She certainly seems a happy dog at the moment although she has energetic days and other days when a wander around the garden will do, but right now she is throwing a tennis ball around the living room like a two year old !!’

Jill has been very well cared for so, despite her age, she has no known medical problems besides a little age-related stiffness when getting out of bed.
