15/9/14 Poor old Luke had health problems and has sadly died. Sleep tight, Luke.
Friends of Akitas UK would like you to meet Luke, a sweet 10 year old gentleman, who was found terrified, confused and alone in the pound. He is now safe in a foster home looking for someone to love him and appreciate his lovely manners.
Luke is the true definition of a gentleman and he has some very sweet little quirks which make his foster carer smile and laugh daily. She says Luke is a true star.
Although a little aloof when he first meets you, Luke quickly warms to human company, and he loves some good walks. He does get a bit excited when he meets other dogs out and about, and he seems to prefer female dogs, so a home with another (preferably female) dog would be considered, pending a successful introduction.
Luke sits calmly for his collar to be put on and is fully house trained, showing no signs of food or toy guarding. He does get lonely when left so would prefer a home where someone is around most of the day.
