22/12/17 – Busta has gone to his new home! :)
————————–

This handsome boy is Busta, a 7 year old black lab. Busta is a lovely old boy who is sweet and friendly with people and loves having lots of walks. Busta is being rehomed by Ark Animal Rescue.

Although Busta is friendly and loving with people, he does not extend the same courtesy to others of his own kind. He tends to be dominant when it comes to other dogs and will sometimes lunge at them if he doesn’t think they are showing him the proper respect. Because of this, he needs a firm hand while out. He also needs a lot of exercise, so an active family would suit him well.

Busta mainly has issues with other large male dogs and some smaller ones. He is okay with the larger ladies though. Ideally he should be an only pet, although he might be okay to share his home with a lady dog after successful introductions.

Busta has lived with children before, aged between 5 and 15 years old, and he was very good with them. He will chase cats.

Busta also has issues with the hoover (but who doesn’t really)! He travels well in the car when confined to a cage. He likes his food very much and he gobbles it down so quickly that he has been complete dry food soaked to try and slow him down! He is a very good boy at the vet’s.

Busta would do best in a calm, experienced home with people who can help him get over his aggression towards other dogs and socialise him. And because he is a big boy who can pull on the lead, his new owner(s) will need to be strong enough to handle him!

Busta loves people and is a very good boy to have around if you are looking for love and loyalty. If you would like this handsome gentleman to join your family, please contact Ark Animal Rescue as follows:
