16/01/18 – Lily has been adopted! Hooray!

Delightful Lily arrived in her foster home with a waggy tail and that tail just keeps on wagging! She is a sweet little crossbreed girl at the age of just 7 and she is being looked after by Safe Rescue.

Lily is just so happy to find herself rescued and in a comfy warm home. She was so thrilled to have a bed of her own and spends more time in it than out. Although she does enjoy play time, she prefers to curl up in her warm bed and just relax.

Lily was a little hand shy at first. She would lick any proffered hand and then run away. She is still reserved, but now she will lie down on the sofa and will approach you for a fuss.  She would flourish with lots of one-to-one attention.

Lily is still learning to walk on the lead and, with lots of reassurance, she will quickly learn; it is all very new to her.

Because of her past in the shelter in Romania, Lily needs to feel loved and safe. She would prefer a quiet home and would be happy to share with another dog, although this is not a requirement. She can live with dog-savvy children aged 10 and older.

Lily does bark in her sleep sometimes, probably memories of her earlier life, poor girl. She is still learning to trust, and once she does, she will make the most loyal and loving companion.
