05/02/18 – Lovely Lucy has found a home!
This beautiful girl is Lucy, Lab/Pointer cross type who is approximately 8 years old. She is originally from Spain where she spent over 2 years in kennels with 20 other dogs, never coming out to see anyone. Lucy had to be taken from her kennel to meet her future foster mum from the charity, Starfish Dog Rescue, and she was a pitiful sight; she just stood there looking sad and withdrawn. She had obviously given up on life, poor girl.
Lucy, however, was rescued and is now being fostered in Gloucestershire and is waiting for a permanent loving home of here own.
Lucy is doing great in her foster home. She is really settling in, happy to share with two older children and two other dogs. She has been let off the lead recently and she loves running about and sniffing. Her recall is pretty good as well.
Lucy’s foster mum is so happy to see this lovely girl grow in confidence and to see the light finally go on in her eyes, as she realises that life can be enjoyable and that she can love and be loved.
Lucy is a quiet lady who enjoys just snoozing on her comfortable bed but she also loves being out and about. She gets on fine with the two male dogs she is living with. She could share her home with other dogs, if they are as quiet and sedate as she is.
Lucy has a lovely temperament and bears no malice for people, despite the way she was treated in the past. She is a little scared of new people coming into the house, but not for long. She is also scared of traffic so would do well in a rural environment where her exposure to it can be minimal. She travels nicely in the car.

In all likelihood Lucy has never had a home, so she really deserves the best; a loving comfy home, preferably a quiet one in the country where she can have lovely walks and could live with quieter dogs like herself. And of course be loved and cared for as she deserves.
