3/12/17 – Good news for Sandy – she has been reserved by a lovely family who are going to foster her for a while. :)

Please meet Sandy – she is a lovely, older, Lurcher girl who is 10 years old and has been rescued from dreadful conditions.  She had lived outside most of her life with no bedding or shelter until she was rescued by the RSPCA Tameside & Glossop Branch. She is now looking for the cosy, loving home she has sadly missed out on, or a long-term foster home would help to get out of kennels.

Despite the uncaring treatment by her previous owners, Sandy is a beautifully natured dog and the Centre staff who have got to know her say she is just a lovely girl.

Sandy walks well on her lead but may need to be shown how to live in a house and toilet outside. Sandy is looking for a home with older children who will understand an older dog’s needs or an adult-only home. She could also probably live with another dog, but no cats please.

Sadly, Sandy may have developing cataracts and a bit of arthritis which can be helped with supplements such as Omega 3 and Glucosamine, etc., more than likely due to sleeping in the cold and wet with no bedding. She has been spayed.
