It’s hard to believe that such a stunning boy as Aslan was found after being dumped on the Brecon Beacons. His luck has changed now after vet treatment and lots of TLC and he is looking for a retirement home with regular company. Aslan is currently based in kennels with Dogsfriends in Somerset and hopes to find a foster or forever home soon.

Handsome Aslan is an approximately 10 year old, red and white Alaskan Malamute with an amazing full coat. He adores human company, is very friendly and well-trained. He would love a big garden or fields to potter in and roam around. However, he cannot be taken on long walks due to his arthritis.

Aslan could be rehomed with older, sensible children who know when to give him space, as young bouncing children may be too overwhelming for him. With careful introduction, Aslan could live with other dogs, so long as they are close to his size and not too bouncy. He is not friendly with cats.

Aslan’s new owners would need to monitor his weight and be prepared to regularly groom his beautiful, thick coat. He is on permanent medication for his arthritis and to help with his stiffness. He is neutered and has had vet treatment, including lots of dental work, to help him after he was found in such a poor state.

Even though Aslan’s background is a mystery, he would thrive in the perfect home.
