28/07/18 – Becca has been adopted! Hooray!

Dogs Friends present to you the dinky and delightful Becca! She’s a 7 year old Miniature Schnauzer, weighing only 8kg. She’s in foster care in Somerset with her old pal Florence. Becca has always had other dogs for company and must have at least one in her new home. She’s had a tough life, being used for breeding and is only just getting used to normal things like fuss and walks. Poor girl!

Becca and Florence.

Initially Becca was cautious, but is increasingly adventurous and loves to explore. While she enjoys exercise, she doesn’t grumble if not out and about all the time. She now walks well on a lead, never having been on one before. At first she was quite suspicious of human contact, she has also begun to accept and even seek out some strokes.

At the moment, Becca is excitable at meal times, but is otherwise calm and friendly. No problems have been experienced with other dogs or with people. She hasn’t yet been seen with children and, obviously, she wouldn’t appreciate being treated like a teddy bear.

Becca seems to be healthy with no medical problems identified. She’s a lovely girl, who will be ready to learn, fit in, and make a very good companion. Her new owners must be understanding of her odd upbringing and allow her to blossom in her own time.
