17/6/2018 – Buddy has found a home!

Who wouldn’t want to be big Buddy’s best buddy! This sweet 8-year-old ex-racing Greyhound is with Dogs Trust Merseyside, waiting for someone to offer him all the love and home comforts he deserves.

Buddy is such a lovely lad and he gets so excited when he knows it’s his turn for a walk. He loves to lean on you when he’s out and about and he thoroughly enjoys contact with people. He seeks reassurance from his carers if he’s anxious about anything. Buddy has recently discovered the joy of toys and can often be seen (and heard!) flinging them around his kennel with glee. Bless his heart!

Buddy can be a little worried when around other dogs as he has been attacked by one in the past. He’s beginning to walk with quiet dogs at the centre and Dogs Trust are helping him to build up his confidence again.

Buddy is such a loving boy and there is a possibility that he may over-bond with people, so he will need to be encouraged to spend a little time alone, gradually building up to a couple of hours by himself, once he’s settled at his new home. Buddy can live with children aged 12+ and is housetrained.
