27/11/18 – Cassie has found a new home!

Cassie is a pretty 8 year old brindle Staffy who is at RSPCA South Godstone Animal Centre in Surrey.

Cassie might be 8, but she still thinks she is a puppy and would love to have a nice secure garden where she can run about and play with her toys. Being a devoted, person-loving breed, Staffies can find kennels very upsetting and stressful places, and poor Cassie is no exception. The RSPCA are trying to help her by giving her outlets for her stress with some rag work and scent work.

Cassie is very affectionate but can be a bit excitable when she first meets people and will jump up for attention. Children in her new home would need to be secondary school aged so that they are sturdy enough to be adored by Cassie. Cassie can’t live with cats and needs to be your only dog.

Cassie doesn’t enjoy the company of other dogs. She has been getting used to going out in a muzzle at the RSPCA and she is enjoying being trained to not mind wearing it, by way of tasty treats!

It remains to be seen whether Cassie would be better around other dogs when she is out of the stressful kennel environment. Her new owners will need to be happy to continue to use the muzzle for her if necessary though and continue her training. Cassie is a very bright, clever girl so will love to continue to learn new things with you.

Could you offer cute and clever Cassie a lovely new home? She’s so unhappy in kennels.
