25/2/18 – We are delighted to hear that after years with untreated fleas and living on a cold concrete floor, kind-hearted Dixie has now found a wonderful new home!
Dixie is a beautiful 9 year old Bulldog x Boxer girl who arrived in the care of All Animals Rescue and Rehome, in Essex, following years of neglect. She had terrible skin due to an untreated flea allergy, bad legs from years of being on a cold concrete floor, and she was covered in lumps and bumps. Understandably, seeing Dixie in that state was very upsetting for AARAR.
And yet, despite the hard life poor Dixie has endured, she is the most wonderful gentle giant who is full of love and just wants comfort and cuddles. And that is exactly what this gorgeous girl deserves!
AARAR can’t stress enough how loving and obedient Dixie is. She loves to climb up on your lap for cuddles and attention, and she simply wants to please. Dixie is clean in the house and she enjoys snoozing on the sofa or in her bed. She is fantastic on and off the lead, travels well, and is happy to be left alone for short periods too.
Due to her age and the life she has led so far, AARAR are looking for a home where Dixie is the only dog so that she can luxuriate in a loving, comfortable home of her very own. She could live with older, respectful children. She is a really easy going girl, absolutely adorable, with a kind, loving heart.
Dixie is spayed, flea treated, wormed and microchipped. Whoever adopts Dixie is going to be very lucky indeed!
