16/2/19 – Lovely Eskimo Joe has found the lovely home he deserves!

Sadly, Eskimo Joe has probably never been inside a house and may find a few things surprising but he will soon be extremely happy to get used to the cosy comforts of his own real home. Eskimo Joe has recently arrived in rescue with Love Underdogs in Waltham Abbey, Essex but he is quickly proving to be a really good boy.
Eskimo Joe is an 8+ year old, sweet lad. He is very affectionate and loves a fuss, though he is a little shy and sensitive; he’s probably a dog who has spent a lifetime in the streets before spending the last few years at a shelter in Romania. He has taken the changes in his life very well, and it won’t be long before he is a much more confident dog. He walks well on the lead and has good manners.
Eskimo Joe is a steady, older boy with a charming and understated nature. He goes with the flow and will bring his family a lot of happiness and affection. He is a bit of a couch potato and likes to watch the world go by and chilling on his bed. He enjoys his food and will work for treats. Eskimo Jo gets on with most dogs so could live with a compatible dog and he is fine with them out and about. It’s unknown how he reacts to cats.
The rescue always places senior dogs in adult-only homes, so a nice family just looking to share their lives with an older friend who has a lifetime of experience behind him and a lot to give back would be perfect. Old street dogs very quickly learn to enjoy the love and warmth of their forever home and really appreciate them.
Eskimo Joe has received a clean bill of health and had comprehensive blood tests on arrival. All came back good. He will have had a dental as well before going to a home. He is neutered, microchipped and has a passport.
