18/02/18 – Kissy and Lovely have been adopted and will be staying together in their happy forever home! Hooray!
These two super affectionate ladies are mother and daughter pair Kissy (left) and Lovely (right). They came to Carla Lane Animals In Need because their owner was too poorly to look after them anymore. Kissy is believed to be about 12 years old and Lovely about 10. Given their time of life, the rescue is desperate to get them out of drafty kennels and into a home, so they are available to foster as well as to adopt. They are each as their names suggest and Kissy can even blow kisses!
Lovely is slightly more dignified…
…but if there’s a treat she’s mesmerised!
Lovely and Kissy are both very good girls! They’re house trained and while out on walks they walk beautifully in their harnesses. In the past they’ve lived with other dogs, children and even cats in harmony, so they probably could do again. It’s thought children from age 10 would be fine for them as they’re still active and inquisitive.
The UK Kennel Club describes their breed as “highly intelligent and affectionate” as well as “totally reliable”! Kissy and Lovely have been quite vocal since they arrived. This could be partly to do with the stress of their situation or it might just be habit. Being intelligent, people oriented and extremely focussed on treats, they should be highly trainable, even at their time of life. Bless ‘um!
Both these cuties are due to have some lumps removed. The rescue are hoping to get a cosy home lined up for them so they can do their convalescing in comfort and have some TLC… and kisses!
