30/11/18 – Libbie has found a home!

Don’t let the “poor me” look fool you though Libbie, sadly, isn’t your typical, chilled out Labrador bitch just yet having been rescued from Romania, but she’s been in foster in Kent for a month now and she’s blooming daily. At 11 years old, Libbie would love to find her forever home sooner than later and Pawprints to Freedom are helping her find the wonderful home she deserves.

Libbie was quite shy on arrival and liked to stay mainly in the garden but, only a few weeks later, she will now freely wander in and out of the house. She’s come so far in gaining her confidence that she will actually now push her foster brother out of the way to get to the food-bowl first (typical Lab behaviour!).

Libbie loves a fuss and adores having her belly rubbed and she isn’t shy about pushing in front of her brother to make sure she gets the lion’s share. Her foster family are doing an amazing job and she’s coming along just fine with building her confidence.

Libbie has no known health problems, is spayed and her hips are just fine, so she’s got plenty of good years left in her. She would make someone a lovely companion, perhaps for a older person, though her placid personality could be equally suited to a lower-energy family with older children. Labradors are great all-rounders and can fit in wonderfully with virtually any family. You can’t go wrong with a Lab!
