09/04/18 – Lottie has been adopted! Hooray!
Lovely Lottie is a small, female Jack Russell Terrier and is 9 years old. Please note she is currently remaining in her own home near Grimsby until there is a space for her at the Ark Animal Rescue and Retirement Home and you are very welcome to arrange to meet her. Lottie has become increasingly jealous of the other dog she lives with and is now looking for a new home as the only dog.
Lottie is a typical little Jack Russell, lively and tends to bark when excited. She’s never shown any aggression to people and loves attention and fuss. She is a very friendly and playful dog who loves cuddles. She has lived with young children in the past and said to be good, but she is very toy-fixated and so would be better with 10+ year olds. She good with other dogs when out and about but hates cats and small furries.
Lottie needs a home where she can have all the attention to herself. She must be an only dog in future and shouldn’t live small animals or young children. She would love a home with an active retired person/couple who has lots of time to devote to her which will be repaid with loads of love. She’s house-trained and can be left for 4-5 hours and is always quiet when left.
Lottie can pull on her lead at first but responds to correction. She is good off the lead and has good recall, especially if she has a ball. She’s used to sleeping in the kitchen at night and when left and has never been destructive, but does sometimes chew her bedding and will swallow the stuffing rather than give it up. She enjoys playing with her toys, especially balls, and likes squeaky toys, but can’t share them. She travels well in a crate or secured on the back seat.
Lottie has been spayed and her vaccinations are up-to-date. She lost a couple of teeth recently but has been checked by the vet and her gums are very healthy and she is fit and well.
