Mavis has a massive heart and has so much love to give despite being so sad and lost in the dog shelter. Now she is blossoming in a foster home in Kent under the care of Pawprints to Freedom and deserves a wonderful place to call home forever.

Mavis is a medium Crossbreed and is 8 years old. It was thought she would need extra support and work to come out of her shell, but how wrong everyone was. This is what her foster carer has to say:

“I have had the privilege of Mavis living with me and I can honestly say she has amazed me from the very start. She has been nothing but loving and is probably one of the happiest dogs I’ve ever come across. Her tail never stops wagging and she walks around looking like she has a smile on her face all day.

Mavis lives with 3 other dogs and there have been no problems and she has even started to play. She has also lived perfectly with my four children and is always happy to see whoever it is walking through the door. At bedtime, Mavis sleeps in her bed in the kitchen with another of my dogs; there have been no problems, crying or destruction. She is perfectly happy to curl up in her comfy bed and go to sleep. She has no separation anxiety and is normally in the same position I left her in.

Mavis loves her food and will do anything for a treat. I feed her separately from the others due to the fact she eats incredibly fast and will then eat everybody else’s but I haven’t seen any food aggression. Mavis was fine when I put a collar on her but isn’t keen on a lead. She will walk and then plonk her self down refusing to go any further. This is work in progress and she will need ongoing training with this although every day gets a little better. Mavis is house-trained as long as she can get outside.

Mavis is an amazing girl with a massive heart and so much love to give. She deserves the very best and is truly grateful for everything she gets. She will make someone a fantastic family pet.”

Mavis is spayed and has no known medical needs.
